LoTd Faber, addressing a meeting of business men at Bradford, said that if the Lords were not allowed to touch money bills it would mean a single chamber, because Home Eule, education, and similar questions could be dealt with m a similar way to finance measures. It was unsound finance to bring down a Budget beyong the needs of the year. Capital was migrating, partly because Argentine and United States investments paid better.
