ASSAULT AND ROBBERY.

A man named George Currie, who arrived from the country yesterday, • Josfc his way about midnight, and was assaulted by three men at the corner of City road and Symonds street. Two of the men jumped on him and kicked ...him, while the third stole his watch and chain and ten sovereigns. This is the story told by Currie, and i* is'borne out by his condition and injuries, and by the statement of a servant employed m City road, who • -BaW ;the assault.
