PUBLIC NOTICES, ASHBURTON BOROUGH COUNCIL. SPECIAL ORDER MAKING SPECIAL RATE. PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the: following RESOLUTION was passed by. THE ASHBURTON BOROUGH COUNCIL at a SPECIAL MEETING of the Ashburton Borough Council held on the Sixth day of September, 1909: "That m pursuance and exercise "of the powers vested m it m "that behalf by "The Local Bodies "Loans Act,. 1908," The Ashbur"ton Borough Council hereby re"solves as follows: "That for. the purpose of providing • the Interest and other "charges on a, lpa-n of £15,000 "authorised..to be raised by The "Ashburton Borough Council un"der the above-mentioned Act for "the purpose of constructing water "works, for the supply of pure "water for the use of the inhabitants of the Borough of Ashbur"ton, the said Ashburton Borough "Council hereby makes and levies "a Special Rate of Seven Pence "(7d) m the £ upon the rateable "value of all rateable property of "the Borough of Ashburton com"prising the whole of the Borough "of Ashburton as set out m the "Proclamation creating the said "Borough m the New Zealand "Gazette of the 30th day of July, "1878, and that such Special Rate "shall be an annual recurring "rate during the currency "of such, loan, and be payable "yearly on the First day of July "m each and: every year during "the currency of such loan, being "a period of forty years, or until "the loan- is fully paid off."
