BURGLARIES.

Per Press Association. PALMERSTON NORTH, Sept. 28. Perry's general store at Longburn was entered by burglars late on Sunday night, and goods valued at from £7 to £10 were removed. The entrance was effected by cutting a piece out of a glass panel of the door and lifting the iron bar that secured it. Tho goods taken included boots, some elqthing, and an assortment of electro-plate. So far no clue has been obtained.

A second burglary is reported by the police, Woodroffe and Co.'s store at Palmerston North having 1 been entered and goods valued at from £20 to £30 removed. Entry was obtained through a back window, which was smashed and the catch unfastened. »
