THE WRECK OF THE ÆON.
AUCKLAND, June 24. The scow Lingara, which left Auckland to salvage the wrecked', JEon at Christmas Island, has returned, unsuccessful. Captain Robinson is convinced that the iEon was plundered by pirates. Two small boats which had been hauled up high ashore by the iEon's crew had disappeared. The hull of the vessel had also almost entirely disappeared, a small part of the bow only being left.
