Per Press Association. GREENMEADGWS, June 23. The Napier Park Racing Club was favoured with ideal weather for the opening day of its winter ii.oeting. Thirteen bookmakers were licensed. The course was m splendid order, and the attendance large. Results: Moteo Hack Hurdles. —Forest 1, Lebeccio 2. The others fell. Won m a canter by four lengths. Time, 3min 27 4-ssec. Petane Hack Handicap.—Marathon 1, Guiding Step 2, Waipunui 3. All started. Won by three lengths. Time, lmin 34 3-ssec. Stewards' Stakes Handicap. —Iranui 1, Woodhey 2, Illustrious 3. Won by two lengths. Time, lmin 48 3-ssec. Napier Steeplechase.—Lingerer 1, Speciosa 2, Eldorado 3. Won easily by six lengths. Time, 6min 48 3-ssec.
