MILITARY SERVICE.
Per Press Association. HASTINGS, June 19. The Mayoress, supported by Lady Russell and Mrs Goring, presided over a large meeting of ladies.. Addresses were given by Colonel Goring and Sir William Russell. At the conclusion • a resolution was unanimously carried — "That the ladies of Hastings exnress the opinion that no system of defence will be satisfactory imless based on univeral military training."
