ASHBURTON GOLF CLUB.
The' competition for the Ladies' Bermaiine Cup was held on Saturday afternoon, and was won by Mrs E. G. Crisp. The following were the cards handed m: Result. Mrs E. G. Crisp (15 hdcp)... All square Mrs D. Wood (15) 2 down Mrs Allan Denham (12) ... 4 down Miss Murison (15) 4 down Mrs C, W. Seymour (15) ... 8 down The first modal competition, and also a competition for a prize kindly given by Mrs Crisp, were both won by Mrs G. H. Buchanan, from scratch. Mr Dignan (vice-president of the club) has offered a prize for a mixed foursome competition. Mr Herd, the professional player, will be m Ashburton on Monday, the 28th instant, and will stay for a fortnight. In'view of matches with oiitside clubs, no doubt many will take advantage of his coa/shing.-
