THE CONSOLIDATED STATUTES.
AUCKLAND, June 18. Mr Justice Edwards, in the course of a civil case, at the' Supreme Court this morning, pommehted; sarcastically; upon the provisions of -the consolidated statutes ; altering the order of procedure. With reference to this he said that anyone knew what was law before the so-called consolidations, but nobody knew, what was law now.. What were called "additions 1"' ihust amount j to a volume'almost as big, as the conIsolidated statutes themselves.
