Since assuming office, he has been invaded with pfersonal applications for work, the applicants in most cases being men of fine physique and capable of doing any class ofvwork. His Worship intends immediately to confer with the chairman of the : respective committees with a view to expediting the expenditure of the .votes affecting tho administration of the,different committees. Ho hopes by putting in hand at once several works to; be carried out during the year, for which the money has been voted, to assist a number of families. Married men with families, all other things being equal, are to receive preference.
