A NEW ZEALAND SCHEME.

WELLINGTON", June 18. The Hon. A. R. Guinness has written to Sir Joseph Ward urging him to bring under the notice of the Imperial Defence- Conference the desir<ableness of constructing an Admiralty harbour at Point Elizabeth. The suggestion ,is not a new one, but the last time it was before the Home authorities an unfavourable decision was come to, on the score of expense.; Since that time about £1500 has been expended in getting surveys made and' Sir Joseph will, it is understood, do his best to get the authorities to approve of a scheme.
