WELLINGTON, June 18. An award embodying an agreement regarding the female workers in the bootmaking trado, has been filed at the Arbitration Court. It applies to Auckland, Wellington, Canterbury, Otago and Southland, Preference is given to Unionists, the hours are fixed at forty-five per week, overtime, at time and a.quarter for first, two hours, and time and a-half after; the minimum wage of females after five years is to be £1 7s 6d, wax-thread machinists £1 15s, apprentices first year 7s, second 11s, third los, fourth 19s, fifth 235.
