TARANAKI PETROLEUM COMPANY.
THE DIRECTORATE. NEW PLYMOUTH, June 16. An extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the Taranaki Petroleum Company was held this afternoon. The announcement ivas made that the directors and delegates representing outside shareholders had arrived at a compromise to the effect that a sufficient number of the present directors should retire to allow the election of two directors to represent the Auckland i shareholders and one to represent Wei- j lington; also that Mr Berry should ! again become director, the chairman to be elected' from outside members. This was agreed to, and a vote of confidence was passed m the directors and management.
