At the meeting of the North Canterbury executive of the New Zealand Farmers' Union on Wednesday, Iffio following resolution, proposed by Mr G W Leadley, and seconded .by Mr D Miilholland. with reference to recent speech of the Hon. A.-W; :Ho|jg, was carried unanimously withbut discussion: "That this meeting Views wjtn the greatest concern the recent utterances of a responsible Minister of the Crown in which ho expresses the ownion that it is criminal to hold land, and declares that more formidable taxation will have' to bo imposed upon farmers.
