NO-LICENSE CONVENTION.
The Dominion No-License Convention commenced its sittings at Christchurch; on Tuesday, when there were over eighty delegates present, Mr A, b. Adams was m the chair, ,- The following resolutions were carried : "That this meeting expresses its conviction that the action of the Taumarunui Licensing Committee m granting licenses to four persons resident m the district is greatly to be deplored, and regards such action as a breach of trust to the Natives m the district, inasmuch as "Kurojpgang were only allowed to become residents "therein pn the distinctly laid down conditions that strong drink should not be admitted into the territory."
