NEW PATENT SAFETY RAILWAY BRAKE.

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 16. A trial was made this morning, on,a special train; between Wellington and the Hutt, of the Christie patent safety railway brake attachment. The trial was very successful, as the appliance satisfied all requirements and fulfilled the claims of its inventor, W. C. Christie, of Invercargill. The invention provides means for indicating at once to the driver whether the brakes are operative or inoperative, and also gives means of communication by telephone between the different carriages and the driver, m case of accident. -
