Bates's -.general weather forecast: An extensive .area of low pressure prevails, and the high north-westerly winds will probably change by west to south-west after about eighteen hours, with squally and ' unsettled weather everywhere; the seas ■ increasing on all the western coast and south of East Cape, after about twenty hours. ' ■'■'.• '-■ ■ CHRISTCHURCH, June 14. »-Information was received to-day that -the Waimakariri at the Bearley was : "four feet above the normal level and .therefore, it would be impossible for ih& coach with tho West Coast pas- '; sengers to get through to^ay. ■ N Mr Bates tolographed to-day as follows: Westerly strong winds to a gale; '.'rain is probable; the glass will fall.
