HAND-MADE CIGARETTES.
! Per Press Association, DUNEDIN, June If At tho Police Court this morning, George Moody, tobacconist, was charged with making cigarettes by hand,, without having a warrant to do so.. The Collector of Customs said that the? defendant had employed a cigarettemaker "to make cigarettes in his win-. j dow during Industries Week. The Customs looked upon the manufacture of cigarettes without warrant as a serious i matter, as when tobacco was cut up it I was impossible to trace where it came from. . Defendant pleaded ignorance of the law on the matter, and said that, he had made no attempt to make cigarettes secretly. A fine of £10 was 1mJjOJSe&j /Pftk COB*6*- ■
