After a vigorous attack by Mr Balfonr and a short ,spirited reply tiy Mt Asquith, the second reading of the Finance Bill was agreed to by 366 votes to 209. §ixty-two Nationalists voted with the minority. The Lord Mayor of Dublin and the sheriffs and aldermen, m their robes, appeared at the Bar of the House of Commons, as a protest against the Budget.
