S The Oamaru Trotting Club held its inaugural meeting on Thursday m fine weather and m the presence of a large crowd of spectators. Eighteen bookmakers were licensed. Oamaru Cup Handicap, of 75 soys., including a cup value 15 soys. Two miles.—Mr F. Macdonald's Piecework (Brankin) 1, Plush 2, Little Arthur 3. Won by four lengths. Time smin 9sec. Ladies' Bracelet Handicap.—Master Patchem 1, Hebe 2, Ostrey 3. Time, 4min 3 2-ssec. Cairnfield Handicap.—Pitch Dark 1, Vondey 2, Gladsome 3. Time, smin 14 3-ssec.
