ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS.
Per Press Association. WANGANUI, June 9. A young man named A. C. Thompson, a grocer, who had been'suffering from hiulucinations and was taken to the hospital on Saturday night, left that institution; at mignight last night and was traced to the river close by, where his" body was found at noon to-day by the police; Deceased, who was highly respected and quiet m disposition, was m business here and was not embarrassed financially. He recently arrived here from Rangiora and is a native of Tasmania and was 26 years of age. CHRISTCHURCH, June 9. Mrs Joseph Gibson met with an accident when returning from Christchurch to her home at Cheviot on Saturday. In changing trains at Waipara, Mrs Gibson was alighting from a carriage which had been drawn past the platform when she slipped off the step and fell under the carriage. On her arrival m Cheviot Dr Saunders was sent for arid found that Mrs Gibson had had a shoulder dislocated.
