THE BUDGET. - , Per Press Association —Copyright. LONDON, June 8. In'the Houso of Commons, Mr Aus* ten -Chamberlain moved the rejection of the Budget. He said that the Government was forging a weapon of oppressive confiscation. The real authors were Mr Snowden and the Labour Party. If the Budget were a triumph for freetradeit would be a death-blow to fiscal reform. Let the electors decide. Mr Ure scoffed at the idea that capital would take wings and fly away. He vigorously defended the land clauses. I The debate was adjourned.
