At the inquest on the body of John Ernest Woodrough, who was found m a dying condition ,ou Dyers Pass road on Saturday, evidence was given by Mrs Woodrough to the effect that j the deceased, during the past eighteen j years, had suffered from heart disease, and the coroner recorded a . verdict that the deceased died from heart disease.' ■ At the inquest into the death of Harriet Cook, who died on Saturday from the effects of falling from an elec-. trie tram car on the Brd, the evidence showed that the car was slowing down to stop, when the deceased, who was, seventy three years of age, made a false step and fell off. She was rendered unconscious, and never regained consciousness. . Her granddaughter, was behind her, was not .close enough Ito prevent her falling. A verdict was recorded that the deceased died from injuries received from falling off a tram car- while fn motion. DUNEDIN, June 8. Enrico Piazzoli, a, well-known Macetown miner,; who had been m bad health, eoinmitted suicide at Arrowtown yesterday. The deceased, who was an Italian, and much respected, had no relatives m the dominion.
