The rainfall on Friday afternoon arid evening was exceptionally heavy.'-Water-courses, which" have been dry for many months, were flooded, and on Saturday morning, although the weather had cleared i\p and was fine, and warm, great bodies of water were, still streaming .over the country. The roads have suffered considerably as aresult of being scoured at low-lying points.—Our own correspondent.
