FIRE IN A MINE.
WESTPORT, March 1. Word was received m Westport last night that the Westport Coal Company's mine at Millerton was on fire. The Company refuses to give any particulars. It appears that the fire broke out yesterday morning m the main haulage way through the old workings. There is only one exit, consequently all work is stopped. It will probably be nine months before work is resumed. The mine employs 250 men. /
