THE RELIEF FUND.
WELLINGTON, March 1. A' meeting m connection with the Penguin Relief Fund was held to-day, the Mayor presiding. The total amount m hand is £1031. This includes £100 from the Huddart Parker Compan but this does not include any Government subsidy. About £100 has been spent m relieving cases of urgent need. It was decided to make no difference m the treatment of passengers and crew. An extra canvass is to be made to augment the fund. ;
