Commandant Soulie de Cenac, of the French Legion of Honour, has designed a pince-nez which enables the wearer to see at the same t'me on on all sides, and even behind. This is ingeniously effected by means of reflectors. The glasses are so constructed as to correct myopia and other errors of vision. A use for the instrument that the inventor did not think of has been revealed to him by deaf persons employing it. They say that it increases their safety by enabling them to perceive the approach of dangers of which their ears give them no warning.
