Per Press Association
AYELLINGTON, February 27. The Council of the Fire Underwriters Association has concluded its sit:ing.3. "It is well known,"' says thf Evening Post, "that much of the time | if the conference was taken up in discussing the question of raising the "atos and a scheme to that effect was Irafted. It appears, however, thai there was not an absolute unanimity •f opinion on the subject, and until the proposals outlined have consideration Uy several of the companies interested, no definite statement on the subject can be made. That an increase of rates will be made is generally regarded as a certainty, but as to the details of the increases, or when they will come into force, even .the insurant people are in doubt." |
