COLDSTREAM ROAD BOARD.
A meeting of the Coldstream Road Board was held at Lowcliffe on Thursday, when there were present—Messrs SI. G. Rich (chairman). McKcnzie and Stevens. The other members were unable to attend through press of harvest work. A letter was. received from Mr O. ! Norrish offering to lease the reserve opposite- his farm, which offer was conditionally accepted. Mr H. Buhner, Hinds, applied for the lease of a shingle reserve on the Main South road, but this could not immediately bo granted until furthev enquiries were made by the Board. A letter was, read from the Department of Labour in regard to closing hours for shops.—Received. The chairman brought before the meeting the question of outstanding rates, and it was resolved that a notice be advertised that on all rates outstanding on the 15th March 10 per cent, will be added. Accounts amounting to £20 17s 7d were passed for payment, and the meeting adjourned.
