INQUEST ON THE VICTIMS

WELLINGTON, February 25. The _ inquest on the victims of the lengum disaster was resumed this afternoon, when Captain Naylor and Mr W. Luke (second engineer) gave evidence on the lines of that taken at the nautical enquiry. Further evidence will be taken to-morrow.
Mr A. R. Thompson, late purser on the Penguin, left Wellington yesterday by the Manuka for Auckland, to join the JUokow as purser.
