THE WRECK OF THE PEN GUIN.
INQUEST ON THE VICTIMS.
A DEFINITE SUGGESTION.
WELLINGTON. February 26. The Penguin inquest was resumed today. The evidence is mainly a recapitulation of the facts adduced at the enquiry. Asked if there was anything he could suggest that would help m avoiding a recurrence of such a disaster, Captain Naylor said that, m his opinion, a light on Tongue Point, with, a red sceptre, would have been seen on the ! night of the, wreck. Ships coming from south and failing to open up Cape Campbell, would either get the Brothers light or one on Tongue Point. The light would allow a ship to clear Tom's Rock by a mile and thrcequarters at least.
