WORKHOUSE MUTINY.
The story of a remarkable mutiny c. women inmates m a workhouse come, from Kilrush, County Glare. Three young women who were re fused their demand for eggs at break fast proceeded to the pjmtry and attacked the master, shouting that the? would murder him, and were prepared to "swing" for him. A jug wasbroken on his head, and he was struck with an iron bar, while when he fell the women kicked him, and lie had io be medically attended for his injuries. At a Magistrate's Court the tn< were sent to gaol for two months with hard labour, but they loudly protested their innocence, and said they were treated like black slaves.
