The sixth match m connection with the Ashburton Guards' championship belt and Captain Percy's cup was fired on the range on Thursday and Saturday last. The .ranges were 300 and 600 yards, and resulted as follows :
The above was the final match for Captain Percy's cup, and was won by Corporal Gourdie with 837 points, while Sergeant Cambridge with 336 points and Lance-Corporal Bradshaw with 334 points filled places. A trophy given by Captain Tucker for the recruit making the highest score m all matches, with handicap, was won by Private Reid with 832 points., -. ■ , *■;" , The seventh Satch, open to the seven leading marksmen for the belt, was fired on Tuesday evening m a very bad light, and resulted as follows :
