Mr Henry Stephenson reports the sale of Mrs Reeves' property, comprising half an acre with cottage, Oxford Street, Rampstoad, to Mr Hepburn, at a satisfactory figure.
A line of 52 head of store cattle from Southland, consisting of 3, 4 and s-ycar-olda, has been purchased by Messrs John Hunt and Andrew Top-1 ping, Elgin, at £6 per head. The cattle were sold through the Farmers' Cooperative Association. A special train convoying -13 trucks, representing over 4000* lambs, passed through Ashlnirtoii on Monday afternoon en route for Ch:-rtsoy. The consignment v.-ere from tile Waihao Downs, South Canterbury.
