The Ashburton Scottish Choir, which has recently been formed m this town, has a live membership of twenty, and includes some of the leading vocalists of Ashburton. The choir, under its leader (Mr E. G. Craighead), held its first practice last evening and m the near future will make its first miblic appearance. The object m forming the choir is to maintain and deepen the interest m Scottish music.
