PROPOSED TARIFF REVISION. Per Press Association. NEW YORK, February 20. Mr Taft; referring to the unexpected deficit of a hundred million dollars, said that many business undertakings were only waiting for a revision of the tariff to be pushed ahead. He believed that the normal increase resulting from the settlement of the tariff would be sufficient to meet the deficit.
