TENDERS FOR WATERWORKS LOAN. mENDERS are invited for the PURJL CHASE of ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DEBENTURES for £100 each, being the Special Loan, for a Water Supply authorised by the Ratepayers of the Borough of Ashburton under "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900," and "Ihe Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901," bearing interest at the rate of £4 10s per centum per annum, payable half-yearly at' the Union Bank of Australia, limited, Ashburton, or at any of the Bank's Branches m New Zealand or Australia, free of exchange. The currency of the Loan is for 40 years. Undoubted security is offered to investors, as the Loan is secured by a Special Rate of 6d m the £ on the annual value of rateable property within the Borough, and a Sinking Fund of £1 per centum per annum will be provided for the repayment of the Loan.
