Ncaring the winning post^ however, Dick Fly did some astonishing work, and m a surprisingly quick time overhauled Princess Louise, and won one of the best races of the day by two lengths, 100 yards dividing the second and third horses. Time, 3min 24sec. Dick Fly m this race put up an Australasian record, covering a mile and a half m 3min 24secs.
