WRECK OF THE PENGUIN.
Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, February 18. The wife of Mr A., Polwarth, of Castle Street, Dunedin, had intended to leave Picton for "Wellington m the Penguin, but had to wait for a letter, and a 6 this letter did not reach her until the poet after it was expected, Mrs Polwarth altered her arrangements, and thus escaped the wreck.
