THE STANDARD OIL TRUST.
NEW YORK, August 10. The United States Court of Appeal granted an application for a writ of error in the recent Standard Oil case.This is interpretated as checking for years the effort to collect the enormous fine. LONDON, August 10. The Financial Times says that the enormous fine imposed on the Standard Oil Trust has predisposed Wall Street magnates to " let the markets slide," thus retlaiating on the Government for its attack on trusts.
