A young man named Reginald Henry Dempsey, appeared at the Police Court this afternoon charged with having forged a cheque for £15 lls 6d on the Napier branch of the National Bank in the name of R. H. Douglas, and with haying uttered it to Edward A. Shrjmski. Accused was committed for trial.
