TINWALD DOMAIN BOARD.
The monthly meeting of the Tinwald Domain Board .was held on Saturday afternoon. Present—Messrs C. Doherty (chairman), J. Small, E. Gates, J. Heseltine and James Hampton.. I Correspondence was received : — ! From the Minister of Lands, stating that the matter of the board's application for a crossing over the Mount Somers railway would receive his careful consideration. It was resolved to thank the Minister. It was resolved to apply to the County Council for a small grant in aid of some extra tree-planting. ■ v ' ■ It was decided that the amounts of outstanding rents be placed in the hands of the solicitor for. collection; to call for tenders for the purchase of about two acres of pine trees to be thrown up, and removed;.Mr Hampton to point out the position of the trees. Mr Hampton reported that he had, the willows round the lake topped, and some minor work completed. The report was approved. Mr Hampton was authorised to arrange for the trimming aiid cutting of fences. , • Accounts amounting to £9 ?s were passed for payment,
