PROPOSED VISIT OF AN ENGLISH TEAM.
Chrtstchurch, Oct 15 At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Cricket Council, held on Saturday night, the Bab committee appointed to draw up a report on the proposed visit: of the English team recommended that the best time would be the season of 1908-1907, the team to arrive in December of that season, and to be amateur or nearly so, and that arrangements should be mado for insuring a fixed minimum of gate takings. 'I he estimated cost of the visit was .£2250. Consideration of the report was deferred until the next meeting on October 28th.
