Sydney, Sepfc 9 The Minister for Agriculture presided at a conference held to discuss the improving of the breed of horses. It was resolved that it was desirable that the Indian Imperial Government should establish agencies in New South Wales with a viaw to purchasing direct from the breeders. The conference' favoured the appointment; of a competent board to inspect stallions, the imposing of a tax on stallions by the Government, the discouraging of the export of mares, and the holding of horse fairs in connection with shows.
