MR IVESS AT HIGHBANK.
Mr J. Ivasa held one of the largest and most enthusiastic meotings evor held at Kighbsnk, at the Schoolhouse on Wednesday evening. Mr C. Spray occupied the chair. The candidate dealt exhaustively with the Land Question, and at; the close of ♦■he addresa a few questions were asked. Mr Graham moved that a vole of thanks be accorded the candidate. This was peconded by Mr H. Jeffs. Mr G. Stockdalo moved a.3 an amendment a. vot9 of thanks and confidence. On the amendment being put a perfect forest of hands were hold up in its favour, while the motioia of thanks was supported by the mover and seconder only, A vote of thanks brought to a olose one of tho mo3t enthusiastic) meetings ever held in Highbank.
