Mary Ann O'Nei!, aged 65, a resident of Wadestown, was found in the house of a relative at Petone with her throat cut. Her condition is critical. Suicide is suspected. Donedin, July 17
At the inquest on George Fleury, who died from the result of injuries received last May whilst playing football, the jury found ;tbat death was the result ot an accident rtt a football match. News has been received that one of the hands on the Golden River dredge, about twblve miles below Alexandra, wa& drowned. No particulars are available. An accident, with fatal results, occurred in Great King street on Sunday morning. As Mrs Ford, of Pine Hill, and her daughter were driving into church, something went wrong with the harness and the horse bolted The runaway came into collision with a horse trough, and Mrs Ford was thrown out on the street on her head. She was taken to the hospital where she died. Her daughter escaped with a shaking. Deceased was 83 years of age. Invercargill, July 15
Mr Nicholas Johnson, a very old resident and a former Mayor of Invercargill, died suddenly this morning.
