Wool Sales.

The Department of Industries and Commerce haa received the following cablegram from the High Commissioner, dated London, July sth-.— The wool sales have commenced, 68,402 bales of New Zealand wool being available There are plenty of buyers and great competition. America is buying freely. Coarse crossbreds of all grades have advanced one penny, and fine merino crossbreds of all grades a half penny per lh on closing rates of last sale. The market is firm at an advance. Manufacturers have very little stock.
