Auckland, July 5
As a carter named John Thomas Meetr, aired about 34 yeare, in employment of Messrs Grey and Menois, cordial manufacturers, wl3 ab >ub to got into his cart in Karangahape road yestarday, the horse started forward and the cart ran over him, one wheel passing across his chest. He was conveyed to the Auckland Hospital, where it was found he was suffering from serious injuries, the cavity of his chest being crushed, and hi died a fdw hours after admission. Napier, July 5 At the inquest on the bodies of the young woman Anu Miller, and the boy John William Miller, who ware drowned at Clive on Monday, f. verdict was returned that the deceased were drowned in the Ngaruroro river, but there was no evidence to show how they got into the water.
