A special meeting' of the Canterbury Jockey Club was held yesterday. J. J, Lewis sent notice of appeal against his disqualification m the Manjess case at tho Chiistchurch Racing Club's meeting, and it was resolved to hear the appeal on June I3th. F. Neligan appealed against the decision of the Ashburton Racing Club disqualifying De la Bey for the Autumn Handicap. The. decision of the Ashburton Racing Club was upheld, and the appeal was dismissed, as the finding of the stewards was based on a question of fact. J. Carruthers appealed against a decision of the Ashburton Racing Club for disqualifying him for crossing m the Juvenile Handicap. After taking a quantity of evidence the appeal vas upheld. Received May 31, 10.24 a.m. Melbourne, May 31 The Secretary of the Williamstown Racing Club has received the nomination of the New Zealand racehorse Maniopoto. ■
