United Press Association —Hy Klefltrio Telegraph Nelson, May 1 Three skeletons have been found on Babbit Island. One was headless. All the remains are very old, and are believed to be part of an old Maori cemetery. Sergeant Dougan, of the Nelson police, who is suffering from sciatica, on Saturday night poured out what he thought was medicine, but took a liniment bottle in error, and ifc wasnot till he swallowed the close that he discovered fhis mistake. Doctors were at once summoned, and under tfceic treatment the danger was ultimately averted, but he had a narrow escape, being in considerable peril for some time. Auckland, Mny 1 Mr Arthur H. Nathan, merchant., died yesterday ; Hged 58 years. Deceased, who had been in business in Auckland since 1880. succumbed to Bright's disease. He occupied several public positions at varioug times including the chairmanship of the Harbour Board, Chamber of Commerce and at the time of his death was chairman of dhectors of the New Zealand Insurance Company, and a director of the Northern Steamship Company. He leaves a widow, two sons and three daughters. Decease 1 waa cousin and brother-in-law of Mr L. D. Nathan, who died in London three weeks ago. .
